  • While the relationship between emergency responders and fleet managers can be complex, any friction often stems from differing priorities and expectations. Emergency responders rely on vehicles to be consistently reliable and ready for urgent situations, and delays in maintenance or repairs can significantly impact operational readiness. Fleet managers on the other hand, must balance resource limitations, scheduling constraints, and short and long-term planning, which may occasionally cause frustration when immediate needs aren’t met.

Without consistent communication and collaboration, emergency responders might feel that their feedback or urgent concerns are not prioritized, while fleet managers may feel that their efforts to maintain efficiency and safety go underappreciated. These dynamics often lead to friction if a solution isn’t implemented.

In this session I will share solutions that I have developed based on my twenty-eight years of industry experience as both an officer, Fleet Manager, and now the President of an industry leading emergency vehicle equipment provider. I have leveraged my unique and comprehensive professional history to create this educational experience. I am confident that this session will provide you with strategies to effectively engage agency officials and Fleet Departments while executing the necessary changes to bridge the relationships between our First Responders and Fleet Departments.
