Juston has more than 25 years of fleet and transportation experience, starting as a technician in the Air Force and worked every aspect of fleet maintenance and management.  Since retiring from the Air Force, Juston has held roles working with public and private Fleets.  Most recently, Juston held the positions of Director of Budgets and Grants and Director of Maintenance at Hillsborough Regional Transit (HART).

Juston Lafler took over for Robert Stine in July 2024, as the Director of Hillsborough County Fleet Management.

Hillsborough County Fleet maintains the full lifecycle of a diverse fleet of approximately 3,700 vehicle and equipment with an acquisition value of $230 million dollars through 70 budgeted positions. They are also responsible for five fuel sites that delivers more than 2.4 million gallons of unleaded and diesel fuel. Fleet is also responsible for related policies and are a key member of the county’s emergency management team. When activated, Fleet provides repairs, fuel distribution, and policy recommendations during contingency situations.

Juston possesses an MBA in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics, a BS in Technical Management, an AS in Technical Teaching and an AS in Vehicle Maintenance.  Juston holds many certifications including a Certified Business Analyst certification, Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, and a Community College of the Air Force Instructor Certification.
